The basics:
I come to you.
I live full-time in a motorhome and can travel to meet your group. This works well for homeschool co-ops, movie production on location, business executives and many other types of groups. If we can work out where I can park and hook up and where I can teach, the rest is easy. For more info see Accommodations.
I am flexible.
Typically I give a crash course of 2 months of lessons, 5 days a week for 1-2 hours per lesson based on your needs (and the age of the students). This often gives students the equivalency of a typical year of high school German. But everything is negotiable. I will try to adjust to your schedule as necessary. I also don't necessary need to hook up at an established RV park. The back of a church, space on a farm, even a long driveway will often do the trick if there is water, sewer and electricity available. In fact, I usually prefer those arrangements over an RV park.
I am affordable.
In my book it takes the same effort to teach 5 students as it does to teach 50. I don't charge by the student, but rather by the hour, which often means larger classes can be very affordable. My use of utilities in the motorhome is fairly limited (often $5 per day in many places). The only tricky part is getting to you. If I have to travel across the country, that is fairly expensive. However, I will do my best to arrange my schedule to keep groups relatively close together, saving transportation costs.
I am experienced.
I have over 30 years of teaching experience and have won numerous awards as a public school teacher. I have written curriculum that teachers around the country (and even a few outside the country) continue to use. I'm at the top of my game and being free from some of the confines of public school teaching (such as mandatory State testing) gives me the opportunity to take students to great levels of fluency . . . quickly!
